ATIVIDADES
Deliver quality secured geometry towards the projects. To solve packaging / geometry issues between different commodities. This include tolerances, weight, main dimensions and bodybuilder suitability;
Set up the cross functional packaging organization and Packaging Issue Log (PIL);
Propose solutions for complete offer scenario / packaging;
Analyze and propose common solutions that can support all brands in order to minimize part numbers and maximize common parts;
Give input regarding geometrical matters to stakeholders (Global Manufacturing (GM), Aftermarket (AM) and commodities (ex. Cab, Chassis, Electrical, Powertrain), from a complete vehicle perspective;
Identify A-interface impacts and balance project geometrical requirements with platform requirements according to A-interface process, in collaboration with the area leader;
Translate Customer feature targets to transport solution requirements according defined process;
Estimate feature risks, needs for verification activities and test support (virtual testing, mock-ups, prototypes, parts, mules), resulting in additional Sub V&V Plan inputs;
Conduct objective and subjective evaluations of the Customer feature, including analysis of customer clinics if needed;
Within Global Feature Coordinator (GFC) network that can be part of a Community of Practice network (if existing), contribute to the development of common test methods, support the development of feature knowledge and anchor this knowledge in dedicated documentation tool;
Continuously improve knowledge about the Customer feature by driving development actions (knowledge about customer needs, virtual & physical test methods, technical solutions). Close cooperation with universities in different types of projects can be an important part of this.
